Fiat Punto/Panda/500 Ford Ka 2008-onwards
The Fiat group C17 gearbox has been around for quite a few years now in different guises but more commonly it is used today in the latest generation on Fiat/Alfa-Romeo vehicles. Also as the second generation of Ford KA’s have been built on the Fiat 500 platform we are now seeing them even more so. They are fantastic little units that usually only suffer with the standard bearing failure caused by wear and tear. The front input bearing wears and fails causing a grinding noise whilst driving, this bearing failure also allows the input shaft to move and distort the oil seal causing oil to leak on to the clutch assembly. Alarming as it sounds this is a very simple repair that can be carried out quickly; with all the parts in stock we can have you back on the road in no time. And because we strive for the best here at the gearbox centre we also fit up rated/modified bearings to prolong the life of these fully serviced units even further. |
